I've been having so many great conversations with people here recently about how much Washington has grown and changed over the last few years, and how exciting it is to feel a part of it. A couple of days ago, I gave my thoughts on the subject to writer (and photographer!) Alex Ogle, who quoted me in this piece, published on Wednesday.

Some wonderful, flattering stories have been written about Washington (and my neighborhood!) recently, including this New York Times piece on our town's booming restaurant scene.

Now, off to be overwhelmed by the events and awesomeness of this city and this incoming administration. Let's get to it, Washington. This is our time to shine!
