Fashion as Talking Point: Robin Givhan This Thursday

I can't wait for this Thursday, when Robin Givhan, the Post's Pulitzer-Prize winner fashion editor, speaks at the Corcoran! I feel such a weird little kinship with her and am so enormously excited to see (and maybe meet?!) her. Robin has really paved the way for a broader, more intellectual outlook on fashion. When I first started blogging, her thoughtful blend of fashion criticism and cultural observation echoed the way I had been thinking about style in Washington. Her insistence that what we wear is culturally and politically relevant has never been more fascinating than it is right now, in this time and in this city. Cannot wait!

Tickets are still available, but they're going (I'm at the Corcoran part-time, so I've got the inside track). In the meantime, read Robin's latest piece on the Obamas (the photo by Nikki Kahn, above, accompanies the article), study up on some of her past articles or read up on some past PB posts:

Project Beltway, Indeed.
