Glazer for listopad: December 10

We're all familiar with designer collaborations at this point: Isaac Mizrahi for Target, Comme des Garcons for H&M....the upcoming Hayden-Harnett collab at Target (see my Sidewalk Style this week). Perhaps it's a stretch to compare them, but it is exciting to announce that a great local shop has announced a collaboration of its own: Glazer for listopad (their blog is here, and they have a pop-up shop on weekends @Mercedes Bien which is upstairs next to Amsterdam Falafel in Adams Morgan).

The line will debut at a launch party December 10 from 6-9 at Napoleon Bistro. Expect Glazer's limited-edition prints on everything from dresses to jackets to tees for both men and women, with prices somewhere in the $25-$75 range. More information to come, but mark ye calendars.

Perhaps PB will score some of the first images...

Glazer's work seems informed by nature, an appreciation for the things that often go unnoticed, and the artful way both rural and urban settings haphazardly-but-perfectly construct themselves. It reminded me to post some images I took during a recent trip home to Lexington (Virginia, not Kentucky). These were taken on the Chessie Trail, a trail that used to be a railroad that I've been walking for as long as I can remember. It was a perfect sun-streaked warm autumn day, and the air was so clean and earthy-toasty smelling and it was so quiet and I just felt, and feel, so grateful to have that in my life.

It smells so good here right now! People are cranking up their wood stoves and there’s a 50% chance of snow so it smells really crisp outside. Love!
