Don’t miss your chance to ask The Post’s Fashion Editor your burning, yearning fashion questions for tomorrow’s chat at 11! Washington is hardly shivering in its fall boots, but Givhan will be talking trends for Spring.

Some Spring 2008 fashion reads to get you in the mood:
Washington Post Spring ’08 coverage
New York Times Spring ’08 coverage
Runway Shows on Style.com

My current Spring 2008 favorite…no, obsession:
Lanvin.

Yeah…Lanvin was definitely my favorite Spring/Summer ’08 RTW collection as well. Can never get enough of that asymmetric ruffling :-)

Wow. A Serious Job is No Excuse put up a bunch of Lanvin show pics over the last couple weeks and explained why she loved it. Now you put up a pic. Are you guys getting comission? :-)

    ahahahhaaha getting commission….if only!

I think Lanvin was a real crowd favorite this season for a lot of folks interested in fashion. The clothes were beautiful and most refreshingly, wearable.

I went to her Fall ’08 talk and it was absolutely awful.

Guess what, ladies? One of the MUST HAVE items for Fall is A DRESS! That’s right, A DRESS! What? You want input on style, silhouette, color, or details? No, no, I’m Robin Givhan, and I say women can never have enough DRESSES!

It was that bad. She should stay home with her dog, and anyone looking for advice should read Cathy Horyn.

Nothing says beautiful like a model who looks like a dead hooker. I am not inspired.

    Kelly,

Interesting that you mention the model. This is a different conversation somewhat, but you might find this read interesting:
