Those dead leaves are so ugly and sad. Are we going to have a real fall, with pretty colored leaves, or is this shaping up to be Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring" nightmare, but for the wrong season? Very depressing.

Sweet Claudia Crespo... what a darling: the physical embodiment of any man's dream of female beauty!

It depends on what's being advertised... "cute shoes" makes me think they'll be overly girly and impractical and I probably won't be interested, but "cute jackets" makes me think they'll be fitted enough to look good on my small frame.

Anyway... I've been meaning to check out Zara, especially since one just opened up in Penn Quarter. Thanks for the tip!

That sign made me realize how often I (and other young women) use the word "cute" to describe something. It's so ubiquitous that it's now being repackaged and sold back to us as a marketing tactic. Anyway, that was Wet Seal on Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown. But if I were you (and especially also if you are also a woman), I'd walk across the street and check out Zara for jackets! Guys, check out The District Line while she's at Zara (though Zara does have a small selection of guys' stuff and it's worth checking out depending on your style).
