Check out the bold argyle…! I also love the final menswear touch – cufflinks from Wendy Wade.

In the meantime though, I’ll enjoy my freedom to not worry about sticky hands on my cashmere, call hors d’ourves at events dinner and occasionally water my plants. However, the advice local stylist Joyce Neave will offer at tomorrow’s event is likely to be useful for moms, not-yet-moms and never-gonna-be-a-moms alike. Because as busy and scheduled as we all are, it can be a challenge to get out of the house looking put-together-pretty.
You might recognize Joyce Neave as a fellow well-dressed Washingtonian. You might have already seen her at the glamorous new Bloomingdale’s in Chevy Chase where she occasionally does stylist duty (or you would, if you could stop lovingly caressing the racks of Phillip Lim).
Note that all ten percent of sales benefit the GW Mammovan Project.

I recently bought a grey patent pair at Steve Madden in Georgetown…hers were ahem, much more expensive!

She layered a lightweight turtleneck over a loose dress she probably wore on its own in the warmer months. The contrast in fit is key: the looseness of the dress really works with the snug fit of the top underneath. Cozy but not yet resigned to wintry wools…
