I consider this the perfect men’s outfit.

Love the pants. Know what brand? I’m tired of jeans–especially tapered ones. But not into the k street khaki look either. This guys got it figured out.

See, I think that the skinny jean is highly underused in DC…by the right people that is. Basically every fall menswear collection has showed tapered/skinny pants…with some influx of a more relaxed leg creeping in. Phillip Lim, Thom Browne, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton…to name a few. I’m especailly into Balenciaga’s pairing of tapered jeans with dressier items like ties and interesting coats. I think what we are seeing too much of in DC are tapered jeans in the “Emo” look…they can go so far beyond that by adding shape and structure to an otherwise droopy mens ensemble. I think that this guy looks “fine”, but it’s not what I would call an inspiring look…it’s neat and clean, but needs a touch of refinment, I think, before it is photo worthy.

“The perfect men’s outfit”? Really? This is what it’s come down to: trousers and an undershirt? Wow. That’s so sad.

Agreed. Just wanted to second rdhd and logancircus.
Different strokes and all that, but I just don’t get this as an interesting look.

I am surprised by some of the menswear inclusions on this page. Even though lots of people in dc dress more business/business casual there is still plenty of men wearing sharply tailored clothes, interesting color/pattern combos, etc..

Though perhaps I am just biased against undershirts worn as overshirts. Just a personal peev.

Tapered? They look like regular straight leg to me…
