Hirshhorn After Hours Part II: Wolfgang Tillmans
Thursday, July 26, 2007

She’s the friend of the fanny-pack wearer in yesterday’s post. The shoes had little red gingham bows…adorable.

Cool retro vibe with the shoes & the hair.

Remember them? I have a couple crush on them: she tried on the dress at Pop and he bought it for her under the pretense that he’d gotten a jacket for himself. He said he loved that shot of them because it’s representative of their personalities: she’s the bold one, he’s somewhat shy. Cuuute.
Her shoes were a ridiculously cheap thrift store find.
If you haven’t yet, I encourage everyone to get over to the Hirshhorn for the Tillmans exhibit. The way he treats the visual presentation of each image is just as interesting as the image itself, like an enormous still life of a pantry shelf containing an empty Tupperware container, a Nalgene & a corkscrew. For a much more eloquent description than I can muster, read this.

So,
I am at Hirshhorn with my matching blonde friend and I see Jessica and Emerson and the first thing I said to them was:
“Rachel was here, she will probably take your photo, that dress is THAT adorable”
And they were like:
“OOOH, she already did”.
Figures.
liking the all black w/ the pop of red shoes
like the red pumps but bored with the all black ensemble. there were sooo many cute(r) dresses at the HAAH event.
Jessica, you are GORGEOUS! (as usual).
