    is the girl in green, striking the ironic glam pose, rocking a gold fanny pack? she seems like a total hoot. i love the unpretentiousness.

    Not sure, but hopefully she’ll see this and let you in on it. You could spring for a similar one from Lola Y Maria (the purple quilted one is spiffy too: http://www.lolaymaria.com/store/accessories-c-37.html?osCsid=448c03518c8df644c690e89c5c4cfa7c or you could do what this Brooklyn blogger did (http://enderbynest.blogspot.com/2007/06/better-than-fanny-pack.html) and jigger your own from a much cheaper American Apparel coin purse.

    So I’m surprised you guys……no one’s snarking on the fanny pack!?
    I’m impressed.

    I’ve thought of the coin purse idea before. I may have to try it. Sometimes I just don’t feel like carrying a purse around, y’know?

    I think the problem with traditional fanny packs is that they’re bulky and have an ugly nylon strap. If it’s simply a cute pouch attached to a stylish belt, it doesn’t look bad at all.

    first, yes, i love the gold fanny pack actually…odd….not usually my thing.

    second, just fyi, in the last picture of the two lovely ladies – the second one is actually laura (not lauren). and yes, they look gorgeous and perfect, as they always do!

    This website is interesting and I’m loving the fashion, but it would be way more helpful to us stodgy unhip DCers if you’d tell us what these people are wearing and how we could obtain similar. I shop all the time and the stuff I’ve bene seeing in photo recaps of the Hirshorn event? Where on earth are people finding that stuff? Probably some place uber pricy I can’t afford like Barney’s or Cusp. Am I right?
