Aaaaand you probably can’t read this bottom flier…and I don’t think it’s online anywhere (but like, how ridiculous & cool is the picture?!) so: to celebrate the first day of summer, Dress for Success is holding a fashion fundraiser at Poste Modern Brasserie honoring DC Councilmember Jack Evans on June 21 from 6-8:30; shop boutiques like On Lokation, Stacy McNeal, Queen Bee, and Smashing Jewels. Cost is $20 (cash at the door). RSVP to Washington@dressforsuccess.org.

    I absolutely love your blog! I do think that the shopping parties around DC are getting very old. They are all the same thing.

    I would definitely agree with you on some (not all though) of the parties…particularly the ones that are of the “Girl’s Night Out!”/”Pamper Yourself Party” variety…it’s a little offensive to keep marketing the concept that spending a lot of $$ on clothing or beauty products equals a night of “pampering.”
