She obviously was attacked by several homeless men whose coats all stuck to her. Or she was “launched” in some horrid cheap couch fabric store explosion.

    Ew.

very pretty girl but I have to agree with Bigger Bitch ( I can’t believe I am saying that) but the coat must go…….

sorry. i agree with bigger bitch and tom h! that coat is freaking hideous.

Look is fab! Girl is gorgeous…this is one of the features worth mentioning. BBTY, Tom H, and miss kittin are the reason DC fashion sucks. They praise someone for daring to wear a blazer and a hoodie (soooo risky) and crticize this chick who is owning her look. Boo!

I’m all for owning a look, but this coat is not something I would ever characterize as cute. Not at all. For me, it’s less the colors than the style. In all-black or all-brown, I’d still think the fit and the too-long sleeves make her look a bit dumpy. And with a gigantic silver tote? Sorry, not a fan.

But then again, I’ve never been on board for the knee-length sweater look.

Believe me, GT, a blazer + hoodie is NOT my idea of risky fashion — and I can get behind what this chick is trying to do, but the execution is all wrong. She’s a cute girl with a great shape, and one of few people who’s been photographed on this blog who can rock the skinny jeans with flats, but I’m sorry, that wrap sweater/bathrobe/Joseph’s technicolor dreamcoat thing is fugly as sin. You can blame us all you want for making “DC fashion suck” for having this opinion, but for what it’s worth: (1) you have never met me in person and have no idea how I dress — and I’ll bet you that it’s cuter than most of the people photographed on this blog dress and (2) how in the world could certain people be responsibile for the fact that certain other people in DC can’t freaking look in the mirror in the morning and dress themselves like decent human beings?

I have to agree with the others. As someone who rocked the BCBG wrap with Via Spiga stilettos yesterday, I think there is a sense of fashion in D.C. It’s just hidden among the powersuits and hipsters.

This coat would be better WITHOUT the overlap. It would work a little better as more of a “lab coat” with no belt. The pattern is too busy (not necessarily a bad thing) to have any extra fabric overlapping and tying with a belt.

Just because Gwen Stefan is a good singer (debatable) doesn’t mean she can design clothes.

Miss Kitten you are right on…..you go girl……..

  9. GT March 31, 2007 12:33 am

Via Spiga and BCBG!!!!! Oh my! Where did you ever find those couture lines…Yawn.

    Thanks for making my point.

Miss Kittin- people like you can be blamed for the lack of fashion because you are the people who feel empowered to comment on fashion yet all of your comments….zzzzzz. Sorry, dozed off for a sec. Oh yeah: boring, your comments are boring, leading me to believe that you support “boring” and spread “boring.”

Tom H: You go girl? Are you a member of the Spice Girls or just an avid fan of The View?

  10. miss kittin March 31, 2007 6:21 pm

^ GT, oooooooh, wow, that hurts, and at the same time makes soooo much sense, too — so my posts are “boring” (I’ve made, what, two of them?) so obviously I dress boringly and am responsible for people in DC who dress boringly as well. Wow. Impeccable logic. Well, I’m sorry I’m not as fascinating and insightful a poster as you, whose comments consistently condone hideousness. Because fashion really is about looking “different” and “edgy” . . . and hideous. Thanks for your infinite wisdom.
