I love the low V-neck on this dress. Eyelet is such an innocent fabric (whatever that means…whatever, I’m tired), so the neckline makes sure the look doesn’t get too cutesy.

That dress is so cute. Is that guy behind her holding her monogrammed bag though?

She looks like she’s wearing a curtain from her grandpa’s van.

The two guys behind her are a pair of the worst DC has to offer.

I love the color (who’s ever seen brown eyelet, anyway?), the fabric, but most especially the cut-outs along the plunge of the neckline. I wish I knew what shoes she wore with it. Assuming this dress *is* brown (someone said black, but on my screen it looks chocolatey), I’d have gone with a nude peeptoe. Eyelet always looks funny with dressy sandals, because like you said, it is by nature an “innocent” fabric. In this case, vamp shoes plus eyelet looks confusing, not stylishly antithetical.

The only way this could have looked better is if this pretty blonde had a pretty tan.

The guy behind your fashionable example is probably not your noteworthy dresser.
