I stopped this woman because I liked the classic, nautical look of the coat, and the way she was walking confidently down L Street with her hands in her pockets. She told me that she liked how she could just throw it on and belt it–no dealing with zippers or buttons.

At first this picture was just a girl in a coat, but then the more I think about it, she really represents what style in Washington, for many, is all about: classic, unfussy style.
